PISSED OFF BIG TIME - School VENT

I was six friggin minutes late for class my first time late EVER for a night class in three years and the teacher locked me out!!!! I couldn't understand why the hell you would do that i can understand if i was 15 but six???????

I had to park all in the back parking lot and RAN to the door and knocked five times then waited five minutes and NO ONE would let me in.. I heard people laughing whenever i knocked. I mean I have some pride and that hurt.

I am glad this is my second class that I have missed! Freaking jerks!

wow, thats pretty messed up.
I had teachers that don't understand that there is life outside of their class.

wow, I feel for you, that sounds terrible. Are you in grad school? I feel that professors in grad school are so much more understanding than that. This guy must be a real jerk. On the bright side at least it wasn't for a mid term or anything.

Nah its regular SUNY farmingdale. I mean I understand why she is doing it but SIX MINUTES??? come on... i mean its not like i was strolling on in there or anything they probably watched me run from my car to the door and locked it on purpose. I am so upset i could cry and I DON'T CRY!!!!

My mom is screaming at me like i am child for missing class and FH is pissed off because he knows i am not late ever.

I know how you feel, the ONLY time I cry is if someone (that actually matters) is mean to me or I feel I've been done wrong, it's the one thing that frustrates me so much I don't know what else to do but cry.

I hate that ESPECIALLY since you are PAYING to take their class. That was kind of the point... you could walk in whenever you wanted since YOU were paying THEM!

That's just cruel. Life happens - there are traffic jams, people misplace their keys, you get caught up at work and take a few extra minutes doing something. The prof was having a bad day and he was taking it out on you. I'm a teacher and I'm telling you, that's what it sounds like. I think that if you approach him ALONE (not in front of other students where it looks like you're trying to embarrass him) before the next class begins and you apologize for your lateness and explain that your feelings were hurt, by then he'll be over it and should recognize that you're the bigger person and he's a jerk.

I don't understand that!! You are paying ALOT of money to go to college, and lateness is something that happens!! It always got me frustrated that they even punished us for missing........we are paying......in the end it is our grades that will suffer if we miss alot!

And you were just late!!!

That stinks!! Sorry!!

Thanks for understanding. WOW i just let off some major steam by packing up some of my stuff and throwing out some stuff. I am currently in the process every two months since i have been engaged going through my studio apartment and tossing or packing. It takes me hours just to make a dent since i have soo muuch build up of crap over the years.

But packing made me feel much better and knowing that you girls actually read this and commented made me feel better.

I never heard of a teacher locking the door!!!

wow what professor do you have and what school do you go to? I had a professor that did that.
