So i had confirmed all of my missing RSVP's and my cousin had said no she's not coming so today she decided to send her RSVP and my mom calls me to tell me that a RSVP came in. I got so freaking pissed off because wth my cousin had already said no she wasn't coming. So i told my mom she's not coming i already have my headcount too f'in bad for her why didn't she say yes the first time around now it's too late my RSVP date was August 31st and frankly all of my favors have been ordered, my menus and seating chart are done and im not doing anything else..i've had enough!!! So since i dont have my cousins phone number since she lives like a nomad my mom has to contact her grandmother and let her know too bad it's too late she can't come.
I truly don't understand people, my guests were given two months and then were given a courtesy call just to confirm if they were coming and now they have the balls to say yes they are coming..ugh
I know i could just add her in but you know what too bad im sick of people thinking they can say Yes out of nowhere and be guaranteed a seat.

So sorry you're dealing with this nutty cousin and her thoughtless antics!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just plan on her not being there, and if she shows up, she'll nomad it around the room and eat leftovers.
We had 4 people cancel the week of the wedding, so if she shows up, she can take the place of those last-minute no-shows. But it doesn't sound like you need to go out of your way for her... she certainly didn't for you!

Yes...I have been there!! Some poeple are just straight out morons. Seriously. I had someone send back an rsvp 2 days before the wedding. 2 DAYS!! saying that 5 people were coming. I didnt know what to do....so I went up to my caterer and paid for the extra people that way they at least had food and then they never showed. I was PPIISSEEDD!!!
So its a good thing your standing your ground because with indecisive people like that, you'd probably get screwwed anyway, like I did.

oy sorry you're going thru that! It is very annoying that people feel they can respond whenever. I honestly don't understand what so hard about putting a piece of paper in the mail. It's not like it's brain surgery. Answer yes or no and go to any mail box and shove it in. Job done!

my rsvp date was sept 1st...the final 2 weeks b4 i maybe got like 5..since ept 1st i have gotten 14 people saying yes....people r just nuts an these rsvps ar going to give all of us grey hair
im still waiting on 2 from people who keep saying they sent it in
i say dont bother if she shows up let her find a seat wherever there is one
i hear the bathroom ha a bunch of seats

Thanks ladies . She said she was coming to my shower and made a lame excuse for not coming and my mom had to pay for it so she is super flaky and probably won't show up to the wedding anyway. If she does come she will be sitting in the bathroom like what Gina said
Like seriously how many times must i confirm if she is coming now it's too freaking late..this was my first big bridezilla blow up moment lol.

You still have about a month to go, I hate to be the barer of bad news but you will have more adds and cancels between now and then. I didn't hand in a final seating chart until the day before. Its really to early to be locked into your seating chart. As for favors, your going to have cancellations and no shows, I guarantee it, so don't worry about that.
Honestly I was happy when people changed from a no to a yes. It meant a lot to me that they wanted to be there. I think maybe you should try to look at it that way.

it is nice that she wants to come.. but since she was so flaky with the shower... I wouldn't trust it. Old habits.... blah blah... that's her. I would have done what you did in this situation. If it were a different person and another story then perhaps I would feel differently.. but the fact that she did this before ... just a few short months ago for your shower... ugh... no bending over backwards for her anymore!!!

This girl never speaks to me nor bothers to keep in touch with me but i had to send her an invite because her uncle and my aunt(her grandmother) were both invited so i had to invite her. She was invited to my shower and said yes she was coming and at the last minute didnt bother to come without even an explanation. If it was someone else i wouldve said sure why not. I did this for my other cousin who told me he wanted to bring his girlfriend but for my cousin no way she is way to flaky.

Yep this is exactly how i feel. Also my aunt gives me a gift saying oh this is from this girl but the card was written by my aunt and i can tell it was a gift coming from my aunt's end just from a past history of receiving gifts from my aunt.
