I'm sorry. I totally feel your pain though -- we got engaged in october 2005 and we're just getting married this september. I thought it was the longest engagement EVER but to be honest I don't know how we would've paid for it if it were any sooner. You're getting married though -- that's the part that matters, whether it's in 2010 or 2011. Good luck and feel better!

With the economy the way that it is, im not surprised if my FH moves our wedding down also. But in the end its all worth it because I would rather move it down an extra year and have everything i want in my wedding and not be stressed about omg how am i going to pay all of this and where am i going to live and everything like that. It does suck to think wow another year, but its just a year, and a year goes by so quick and you will get a ton of stress pulled off of you if you arent stressing money or anything.

oh no!! but i think that's a smart reason thoug he probably wants to make sure your wedding is amazing and out of this world. Now these days is very expensive and it's better that you guys have money also for other things and not being tight on money!!! Things will get better you'll see :)

I'm sorry. That really *****! Is that what's written in your contract? It'll work out. It always does somehow!
On another note, I see you plan on getting married at St. Gregs. That's the church I went to growing up.

The hall wont just use your deposit to hold the date in 2011? Did you ask? If not threaten to change venues. Considering they have plenty of time to rebook that date its ridiculous.

Re: pisssedddddd
I changed my date at my hall, and they just kept my deposit and moved the date... No harm, no foul.
Although, I only changed it by a couple of weeks I don't think from 2010 to 2011 should make much of a difference...

If you're hall is in Suffolk county you're supposed to get it back.
