PJCC

Anyone else visit PJCC?

I was there last weekend and there were still odds and ends to finish up--- any updates?

I wan't overly impressed and really want to take another look b-4 I cancel.

I have looked at other places and the menus can't really compare, however, I felt like the hall was too small.....

Re: PJCC

i saw it on saturday and loved it! we're only having 144 people and i thought it would fit that perfectly without much extra space. we saw it set up for 175 and it looked good. they said it can hold 250. jmo-it looks real tight to fit that many people. and the ceremony site is real tight. they told me they could only put 152 chairs. that would be pushing it. so that part will be a little tough. i should have bought a smaller dress!

the views and the food are amazing.

even though the reception area may be smaller the open cocktail hour is really big and since alot of guests mingle around the bar anyway..........

i'd agree with you. go and take a second look and if you still second guessing then it's probably not the right place for you.

hope everything works out!

Re: PJCC

I finally went to see it this weekend too. I went early on Saturday, so it was very busy with people walking in an out. The entry is smaller than I thought, but looked very pretty. The CH area is beautiful! I did think the room for reception looked a little tight and, as noted by others before, the chairs aren't great (why !??!?! why!?!? why?!?! spend all that $$ on renovations and not pick pretty chairs???) Anyway, have to bring fiance to see it. I would agree though, take another good look at it before moving on. They had only been open 5 days as of this Saturday and we're still getting it all togehter....

Re: PJCC

Hi - I went there on sunday for mother's day dinner. I thought the view was amazing - beautiful cocktail area - the chandeliers were awesome, very rustic and elegant - so pretty. It was hard to judge the reception room well - since it was set up for mother's day, they had tables everywhere, including the dance floor. The room looked fairly big to me though and the dance floor was in a nice spot. You'd have to picture it set up as a wedding with centerpieces, etc. I honestly don't think the chairs stuck out so I wouldn't worry about them. If it's a big concern, white or off white chair covers would look great in there and add to the 'airy' effect of the place. Although I don't remember it the way it was before, I've heard they stuck to the basic feel of the place so if you liked the look then, I don't see why you wouldn't like it now....
All in all, very pretty place.... Good luck! :)
