place card holders and favors

so Fh and are are on a kick about making decisions for the wedding. we both finlly agreed on a centerpiece (we never liked the ones each other picked till this one, so when we both liked it we made it a definate!) our next decisions are about the place card holders and favors.
originally we were going to do a custome hockey puck favor. at first i loved the idea, but i wished we could do somethine more practical. so i found these hockey puck place card holders. what do you ladies think of using there pucks as the place card holders???

and then as favors getting tins or chinese food take out contaniers for a candy bar as the favor??

our first date was a hockey game and he proposed at a hockey game, so it means a lot to us. i jsut dont want to go over board with it and make it tacky. everyone knows about how much hockey means to us too.

Very unique...love it. I think you should use the tins or maybe like glass jars like from this website http://www.beau-coup.com/personalized-mini-glass-candy-jars.htm. I was thinking of using these myself .

AWESOME. Islanders? Rangers? Devils? My FH proposed at a hockey game as well. We are HUGE Rangers fans. I think it's a great favor/placecard holder.

I don't think it is tacky at all - they are just place card holders so it is not going overboard.
