Place Card holders? repost from BHB

Okay my thing is the woman who was selling these little hats I like came down in price problem she only has 32 of them. My mother thinks they are cute but no one would take them home with them and its a waste of money. She likes the 'formal' looking ones or plain cards.

FH didn't care for the formal looking ones and liked the hats. I personally like both.

My question to you is MIX THEM formal and hats?

OR

Both suck

OR

Get formal ones

Or

DO cards and do not waste money

Help me!!!!!

Those are cute. I am doing just cards because I don't know if I will have the money for place card holders.

if you and fh both like that hats, i would say go for the hats!!

is 32 enough?

why wouldn't people take them home? they're cute and they can put them out as decorations every year for st pattys day.

I agree and you are getting married the day for St. Pattys day. I think they are very cute.

I like the hats not the formal one. They are really cute and you should use them.

ilove the hats they are soooooo cute!!! i saw a STD for ST.pattys day... if u want it ill post it for you. but is 32 enough??? have you checked everywhere maybe you can get the ones from her and find something else from another site that you like that you can mix in... ill take a look for you!

If you have the money...mix and match...If not...use the hats for a TABLE card. Print out a nice card that displays the table # and all the guests at that table. Just a suggestion.

Nah 32 is not enough... thas the problem. I would really need 50-54 total hats for it to work completely. FH and i are going out tomorrow store hopping to see what they have out for st. pats day in hopes to find the hats.

ok so i cant seem to find anythng for you but i do have an idea... for favors/ place cards....

what about the irish wedding/make up bell.. you could put the bells on the table with a ribbon and a little card hanging with their names and table # then thats their favor and also place the meaning of the bell at each place setting so that everyone understands what it is and how its symbolic to the irish!

Hahaha i think so!! Have you started looking at floral arrangements yet? I am going to in april/may. I am trying to space things out more this way i have something to focus on little by little so it doesn't seen that i have nothing to do months before the wedding.

I want to do greenish candle centerpieces. I don't enjoy flowers. Its also an Irish tradition to have soda bread at every table.. so I have to work that in.
