I have a couple of people who are dating some one and I am blanking on how to list them on the place card. Is it Jane Doe & guest or Jane Doe & John Smith or do I give each of them their own place card. TIA

if people told me the name of the person they are bringing i put that person's name on the card. if they just said they are bringing a guest, then they got 'and guest'
if they have been dating the person for a while (few months or more) than i think it would be nice to ask them what the person's name is and put it on the card. i know i will be meeting some friend's SO's for the first time at my wedding!

If I knew who the date was I put their name..

If I didn't know the guest or their name I put...

Yup me too! If I knew the name of the person they were bringing I put it, if not they got 'and guest'
