Place Card Question

Place Card Question

So...

I've read everywhere that if you can't don't put 'and guest' on the place card. To find out who they are bringing and put their name down. BUT, what if they bring someone else at the last minute but some other persons name is on the place card. Awkward!! Not my problem but still....

maybe it's better to just leave it 'as guest?'

I put '& guest' on a card for anyone that rsvp'd '& guest' instead of their name.

If the person wrote the name out on the rsvp, I wrote the name on the card.

Re: Place Card Question

I did not put '& Guest' on any place card.

DH & I where dating for nine years, engaged for a year & a half, with 6 months to our wedding & someone (who was invited to our wedding) inviting us to their e-party & the invite was Ms. Christine G__ & Guest.
DH flipped a lid & we did not attend that party.

As for the invite & place card, I e-mailed those people bringing a date who we may not know & found out their names. Actually come to think of it those people thanked me for making their guest so welcome.
