Place Card Question... Please help!

Did everyone put couples (married and unmarried) on the same card?

Do children get their own card.

If you dont know the name of a guest someone is bringing to you write :
Mr. Smith and guest

Thanks!

if it is a couple I wrote.
Mr. John Smith and Lisa
if their date was a serious girlfriend or boyfriend.

If they were married I wrote
Mr. and Mrs. John Smith.

If I didn't really know the person they were bringing I wrote
Mr. john smith and guest.

For a married couple:
Mr. and Mrs. Smith

For an un-married couple:
Miss Jones and Mr. Smith

For a married couple and their child:
Mr. and Mrs. Smith
Junior

For and unmarried couple and their child:
Miss Jones and Mr. Smith
Junior

If the child is over 18 they should receive their own invitation...

If I didn't know the date's last name I made them 'and guest'

For Place Cards Silly! Not invites. Do you think children should get their own...

Children should not get their own if they are sitting with their parents. We had a few teenagers that sat by themselves at the 'kiddie' table and they got their own placecards because they were obviously at a different table.

Placecards act the same as invitations. Write 'and guest' if you don't know who they're bringing.

And, yes, couples go on the same card. (Whether married or not)
