I am trying to do my place cards, and I am not sure if you are supposed to give each guest a place card or by couple. Please help!

One per couple. Also, if you know the name of a someone's guest then it should be written. You might even want to call and ask who they are bringing with them. That way the placecard will read, Bill Smith and Jane Doe instead of Bill Smith and Guest.
