I always thought escort cards and place cards were the same thing, but my MOH told me they are not. So, escort cards tell you what table you're sitting at. And place cards are placed on the table and tell you which is your actual seat? Is that right? I didn't think I needed to worry about which seat to put everyone in, only which table

yes, they are two different things but people commonly only do the escort cards (which is what they refer to as place cards) honestly, people would not sit in the seats you tell them anyway. You're doing good if they stay at the right table. LOL

i didn't know this either...i thought they were the same too
my wedding planning rule is this...if i didn't know about it before i started planning and it is not a huge deal i am not doing it...trying to save myself the stress...i'm just going to do the escort cards
