Re: Place Cards
we tried printing them out but we had trouble lining it up correctly on our printer. We printed it out on regular paper and then had it copied at kinko's on to our place card paper. It was a perforated piece of paper with six place cards per sheet.

Re: Place Cards
That's what i'm afraid of. Trying to print them and not being able to line up the names on the line.
Guess i should think about doing it myself?

Re: Place Cards
I think i'm just going to write 'em out myself. I don't feel like the placecards are that big a deal. Pretty much every wedding I've been to, they're just hand written. In fact, one that i went to a couple weeks ago was this huge FANCY wedding, definitely over $100 a head, and i was actually surprised to see that the placecards were hand written and not even written NEATLY either. lol. I'm going to at least write it pretty

Re: Place Cards
I would write it by hand but don't have nice hand writting & my sister (MOH) said she didnt want to do it. Can you believe that? LOL She told me her hand would get tired..... Nobody said she had to do in one night.
Anyway, If I pay a calligraphy person it's like an average of 90cnts each. So I would be needing like 75-80......so that would equal another $70- UGH

Re: Place Cards
That's money I don't really have to spare.
I think i'll go to Michaels or AC Moore and get the calligraphy pen.
I have a month to practice LOL

Re: Place Cards
I bought the Gartner Studios placecards from AC Moore that you can print yourself on your computer. I downloaded the template from the Gartner website, pasted in part of my monogram as background, then typed each person or couple's name and table number over the monogram. Hope this makes sense!
It didn't take too long at all and was pretty easy to do. One package of 48 printable placecards was $4 if I remember correctly. The AC Moore on Union Tpke in Queens is having crazy sales all month, and I think everything on the wedding aisle is either 20% or 30% off, so you can save more $$ that way too.

Re: Place Cards
I am printing them on my computer, cutting them into ind. cards, and sticking them into the holders. No lines, just made one document per table with the guests' actual names, and printing them out. I used a label template that was 2'x4' I think to make sure they were all going to be the same size.

Re: Place Cards
i think i am printing them from the computer... just easier for me than writing each one... i could see myself getting sloppy after awhile..lol. I feel like it's not a huge deal.. so i'm just gonna get them at staples or AC Moore/Michaels and print them with the guests name and table
