Place cards or no place cards....

Place cards or no place cards....

My venue told me that having place cards is not really needed because they have people standing at the door seating people with the list. Should I still do place cards? I found these really cute vases I was going to ask the florist if they could throw some small flowers into...but if it's not necessary I won't do it.

i would def do it. i went to a wedding where they had people at the door telling everyone where to sit & there were huge lines forming.

I would do it anyway... it probably won't take up TOO much time and will save you a giant headache if someone screws up!

I'd do placecards...that sounds to me like it could be a big ole mess with everyone trying to get their seating assignment at the same time.

Yes, I would definitely still use placecards.

I would still go with the Place cards only b/c even if someone is at the door telling them where to go, what happends if they find someone they haven't seen and start talking to them and then forget where they are seated. I think the place cards are a good back up anyway.

Do the placecards. SIL got married at a place with 'seaters'. It was extremely chaotic not to mention there was a huge back-up at the door.

I would do place cards esp. if youre having a big wedding. How many seaters can they have? IMO it will be kinda messy if there arent any place cards

OMG! Defenetely...I just went to a wedding on Saturday with no place cards...it was a dissaster...people didnt know where to sit. One person would tell us you can sit here, and 5 minutes later someone would come and tell us:' this seat is reserved.'

I would definitely do the place cards, it sounds as if that would be crazy (take a number and stand on line, we'll tell you where you are sitting in about half an hour LOL). I would use what they are doing as a backup system!!

Def do the placecards (and those vases are so cute btw!!!) I agree with the others that it would be chaos without. Plus, people usually go to weddings automatically looking for their placecard and might get confused about having to go and ask a person where to go instead. Obviously they will figure it out eventually, but I'm just saying I think placecards are so much more organized.

I would still do placecards....just in case- you never know!! And besides, those are way to cute to NOT use!

I would definitely do place cards. i think people expect them at weddings.

I ordered those exact vase place card holders. i thought that they would be kinda cheesy & cheap looking, but they are gorgeous. Even better in person than they look in the picture.

i would do them, because not everyone will wait to be seated, plus its better to be prepared IMO
