what about a restaurant like a tgi fridays, applebees, chilis, etc this way people can spend what ever they want? governers might be fun but i dont know if people would be willing to pay the cover charge plus the 2 required drinks

I'm trying to think about your pot luck idea.. Would it be expensive to rent a Knights of Columbus or VFW hall for a few hours? You seem to know this kind of stuff

what about benihana? (hibachi show) might be fun! but a bit on the pricey side. One time like, 15 of us took up a whole hibachi table for a friends bday it was a lot of fun!

thats like the hall i was talking about its American Legion $400 for 4 hrs and beer wine n soda tab...
if we dont get 40 people maybe we can invite a guest?? or we can have our Fh;s there or MOH's i dunno... but if we do a resturant some places dont allow you to bring in deserts or anything,.

What about Singleton's in Bethpage? I know they do a cocktail party type thing for $30 pp. That doesnt include drinks. I'm also not sure of the minimum number of people you need.

i like the grand luxe idea or even benihanna... Somewhere other than a hall or a prixe fixe menu...its not nice to do that to us who dont have alot of cash to spend at the G2G's...no offending people lol (or maybe....nah....wait )

I think the problem with a rented hall...is the 4 hours. No offense ladies but I don't think I can do 4 hours. I can barely find time for 1 hour to meet you ladies!

its a restaurant by roosevelt field mall, they are owned by the cheescake factory so they have a little bit of every type of cuisine .. .it is really good!
