My one year anniversary is coming up on July 3rd and I need suggestions on a really good place to eat on Long island, I dont really care if its in suffolk or nassau. (but I live in nesconset so suffolk would be better) I am just looking for somewhere that is really romantic with really good food. HELP!

Casa Rustica in Smithtown (right past the train tracks on Main street on the right) is nice and cozy and really good!!! OOORRRRR Where I've been DYING to go - Mirabelle at the Three Village Inn!!!

The melting pot in farmingdale!.. Something about fondue and cooking your food together at the table is really romantic and fun to me lol.. Just call ahead and make sure you get a booth thats semi private. They have some really nice ones by the fireplace and they are totally private

The restaurant at the Carltun is really nice. I think they also have a wine tasting with dinner in the wine celler room.

Ditto! I took FH there for his last birthday and he loved it. The food is great and the decor is beautiful. They've got a very prix fix menu for $35 per person.

there are also two places futher east....
Jamesport Manor in jamesport..yummy and north fork table and inn in southold, which is terribly expensive but soooooooooooooooo good!!!!! it's been written up in magazines

The Lake House in Bay Shore-- HANDS DOWN!! amazing food and ability to sit outside by the fire after dinner :)

FH and I always to to Prime in Huntington...we went here before he proposed! The food is so good! They have an outdoors right over the water too!

Manino's in Oakdale. By far the BEST italian food I've had in a looong time. Small and cozy.
