Do you have a shower invite list?

Re: place to have bridal shower....
Most times not ALL women invited to the wedding are also invited to the shower.
You and your mom may want to sit down and acutally make an invite list.
Good luck!

I don't think that they'd be offended -
I think shower is only for the close women in your lives!!
I think 60 for a 200 person wedding is fine.

Re: place to have bridal shower....
We are inviting 200 and only 46 people are on my shower list.
Edit: You wouldn't necessarily invite the women that you've never met

You don't have to invite every woman invited to the wedding to the shower. When my cousin got married, they just invited the family that his fiance knew to her shower (and someone did manage to get offended though).
Did you try Meehans? I went to a shower there once and they did a nice job (it was in the smaller back room since it was only about 30 people).
My friend had her RD at Tello and said it was really nice as well.

Re: place to have bridal shower....
Tello was awesome, we had lots of parties there, but they have since closed. It's now under renovation and will be called Mangia or something like that.
Someone suggested Mae Browne's on Jericho Turnpike in Huntington Station for a bridal shower. Not sure if you wanted something in the village or not though....

I don't live in Huntington but my parents do. It shows I haven't been out there much recently. I was going to look into them for my rehearsal dinner but, I guess not.

Re: place to have bridal shower....
You probably wouldn't invite the women who are coming to the wedding as the '& guest' of single men. Other than that, you could draw the line wherever. For my showers (I had 2 smaller showers; one upstate and one on LI), the hosts only invited woman that were family or close friends of me, FH, MOB or MOG and that's it.

The Irish Coffee Pub is where the girls are planning to have mine (I'm nosy and I've convinced FH to be my spy). I think they have a room that will hold over 100. The room they've chosen for me holds up to 60.

Re: place to have bridal shower....
sorry to hijack this thread. just wanted to know is it rude to invite someone to your shower and not invite them to your wedding?
