Placecard Etiquette

Should I put everyones first and last names?? And should couples who arent married get seperate placecards?? Imk curious because if I put two names with different last names on the placecard, how would I alphabetize that? Should I be alphabetizing by first or last name?

Woah sorry for all the questions!

I'm going to do:

'Mr. and Mrs. John Smith' if they're married.

And yes, 2 names, one place card for non-married couples with the woman's name always first.

ETA: I THINK the woman's name goes first...

I think you should put 1st and last name and you put it in order through last name, and when they invite FH and me to a event they put both of our names together

ooh good point.

Well, I'm alphabetizing everything by last name. So for that placecard I'd go by the woman's last name (with her name on the top)

Yes

You can put 2 names on the same card and should put the woman's name first as well as alphabetize by her name. the only exception is IF you invited the guy and he is bring the woman, HIS name goes first

[Should I be alphabetizing by first or last name?

always by the last name

Well, I like your rule! lol I guess thats what Im gonna do. So is it okay to put the person you know first or does it always have to be the girls name??
