Placecard Etiquette...

If there is a married couple attending, but, the wife did not change her last name, do you put her as 'Ms.' or 'Mrs.' ?

how about if you invited someone with guest, but they only put the guest's FIRST name on the RSVP card. Is is dumb to say

'Ms. Jane Smith and John'?

Should I keep it as 'Ms. Jane Smith & Guest'?

We just did that cause we felt it was odd to put just the first name...I'm still waiting on one, and if we don't get it soon, it's getting an '& Guest'!
