I plan on using clam shells, right from the beach! I have a tropical/Caribbean theme, so it fits right in. My hall provides the place cards, so I just have to decide if I'm going to attach them to the shells, or write on the shells myself.
I want to do these too but in silver. I'm going to put a sign on the table that says 'please take your seat'

I love the idea and look of the scrolls but can't be bothered with determining exactly where people will sit. I have only been considering frame holders b/c I feel that the other holders won't be used very much by my guests.
For my place cards I want something eye catching that will make a nice impression without going crazy. Votives are my fave but I might put a nice card over a cute little bag with truffles on it and their other favor will be on the table...I want something 3-D mainly....I'll post mine if I ever figure it out!!

That's SO funny- my invite lady does those too! The Couple's names are on the front with little flowers on the front and inside is a little card with either a monogram or the couple's first names and inside the little card is the table number. It's a little involved but it looks great...
do you guys have pics of this?

i am having a beach theme, so i bought sand dollars and writing the names and table number on the shell and putting them in sand.
