Do I address the placecards exactly as I addressed the invites:
Mr. and Mrs. John Smith Table 1
or do I do
John and Ann Smith Table 1
or
Mr. John and Ann Smith Table 1
or
Mr. John Smith Mrs. Ann Smith Table 1
???
I'm doing votive placecards.
TIA!!!

Re: Placecard question
It really all depends on how formal you want to go-- if traditional and formal is what you are after-- the first way is the most appropriate. This is what I did.

I think ?? that the place cards are specific to each person - not per couple. I was at a wedding recently and this is how it was done...

Re: Placecard question
I did it the first way. Mine said Mr. & Mrs. Smith. For couples that were not married, I wrote out Miss Jane Doe and Mr. John Smith.

Re: Placecard question
I would go w/ the first way except if you have a number of people that were 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith' then I'd do all of them w/ option number 2.

I agree the first way is the most formal. But as a matter of opinion, I think it's nice to put the women's first names. I hate to think that once I'm married I will only see Mr. and Mrs. His Name and not my name. As a rule I like to use both people's names, but that's just me.
