AS you can tell I am doing all this stuff way to late at night. But for the early risers (or those on later) I was wondering how you did your placecards.
Are you doing one per person or putting the couple on it. I am stuck between the two options. hmm.
We did one placecard per married couple - couples dating or engaged had separate ones.

You were up late too last night!
Thank you that sounds like a plan.
Is that what other ladies are doing

Re: Placecard QUestion
here's my ?? for you -
is your RH providing the cards or is this going to come out of your budget?
I honestly think one per person is the way to go...simply because what are you going to do with couples who are not married? Whose last name goes on the card?

My RH gave me the cards. But I hate my script writing so I got another set from staples that I can just print on (it wasn't much since I had a staples reward check anyway)
i wasn't sure. I did see someone put couple that weren't married on the same card with full names.
I think I may put married couples together on one card maybe & then non married or singles on separate cards.
But then I have a couple of people that have not told me their guest names... grrr
So I am not sure what to do about that if I don't get it in time!

Okay - deep breath in, deep breath out.... I so know what you are going through.
I think your solution is perfect... Married peeps on one card, singles on 2.
For those that have not given you last names of their guests....they can go on one card with the person's first name....
Example: Jessica Harrigan & David
This way - your single person will know to look for her name and the dude, well, he's on the card too!

Okay now I have a question... if they aren't married yet, do you then have to go out of your way to find out the other partner's last name if you're doing 2 separate cards? I was going to put engaged couples on the same placecard and just do like Jane Doe & Guest for those who aren't married.

For engaged couples - they REALLY love it to see, 'The Future Mr & Mrs blah blah'....
You don't have to go out of your way - but it will totally make them smile... I was at Heathers' wedding this weekend & she had someone's 'future' names and the couple were sooooo happy to see that.. Think of how happy you'd be to see that!

I know. I cannot believe that I am trying to get people to give me names with a week & a half to the wedding. OKay I am trying to breathe deeply & calmly..lol
Good point. I will just have to do that with the cards because I am not going to kill myself trying to be psychic about peoples names now.

I did one per couple, whether they were married, engaged or dating. Only the singles had their own card.

All on one. If you are Mr and Mrs Doe you got one as well as Jane Doe and John Wedding (her guest).

that's what im doing. im thinking the person who is the original invited guest will look for their name (the &guest wouldnt). and for the unmarried couples...i figure theyll look for one or the other name and find it eventually

Re: Placecard QUestion
okay another question. If you have a family that has a child with them, you putting the child's name too. I was thinking at least for my flowergirls that they would get their own. but I am not sure?

you put the last name of the person closest to you.. or i would guess of the person the invite was sent to.
