I would include the first names too. If you are having a lot of relatives there would be too many people with the same last name

Re: placecards

thanks...i have another question. In FH's family there are 3 Joseph Smiths, two Robert Smiths, etc. They are all married...would you put the woman's name on the placecard too in that case?

Re: placecards

I would just so they don't get mixed up. Then again I am doing things sooooo non-traditional. LOL Do whatever you think will work best for you and your FH.

Normally i would say to leave the wife's name off - but in your case you may have to include them. Unless you use middle initials - and even then you cant be sure that people will read them that closely. They just might see their name and pick it up.

If you dont mind me asking, how are you doing the names? I am not so big into traditions.

Re: placecards

i used only first and last names, no titles. woman's name first. we had low key informal beach wedding.

i.e.: Mary and Bob Smith
