If i make my placecards is it bad if i just lay them on the table???
Not standing up Im thinking it would be okay but am I wrong

i love these cards but dont wanna make the folds

I think it will look great lying flat as well, but having them stand up brings out the beauty. I don't think it will matter at all!!

i think you can do either one. it's not that hard getting pre-folded cards in that size and printing each name on blank pieces of white paper - cut them to the right size - and tape them onto the folded or tent cards.
