My wedding is in 3 weeks and I have to do the placecards. Having them professionally done is very $$$$ and I don't want to allocate funds there....they go right in the trash. What is everyone else doing? I can't do calligraphy. I tried teaching myself but its not going too well.

One more thing I forgot to mention....I got GREAT placecard holders.....so the actual placecard looks nice...it's the printing of them that I am referring to. I went to the stationery store and they wanted $6 per card!!!!! I think that is crazy! That is more than each placecard holder costed! Or, am I just being ignorant about how much it should cost? IS that an accurate fee?

They have them at Micheals in a pack. I think about 40 come in the pack. They are just the tented ones, with a silver border. Not too expensive and really easy to print.

Try All Type Calligraphy. She's a vendor on here in and she's very very reasonable. She did our invitations and they came out great! Not to mention she's quick!

What do your place cards look like, can you post a pic? You can't run them through the printer?

you can also go to saples or michaels, and get computer printable placecards and do it yourself.... just select a classy font and you're on your way!

Re: placecards - help!
they are just plain tents.....that go into a holder. I don't need the actual card to be fancy...I already have the tents...they are plain ecru. I just need the printing. Thanks for these suggestions!

This is too funny...I was looking all day today for place cards. My FMIL sent me this website...they have a ton of ideas and most of them look like you can DIY too! I hope this helps

We actually just finished doing ours....they where easy. It was like 48 for $3.99 or $4.99 (dont remember) but there is a website you go to that gives you a templete and its really easy.
