Placecards question

Im sure the bride and groom write the names on the place cards (i think), but im not talented with calligraphy, nor do i have good handwriting. Can i give them to someone to do. Is that how it is usually done.

Plus, do you always address the placecards Mr. and Mrs. _________. I have no clue when it comes to etiquette (sp?).

TIA

Re: Placecards question

If your not good with neatly writing (like myself), I've seen printable ones. Just find a really nice font (dafont.com) and print them out. I've seen the printable paper packets at michaels and ac moore.

I used Mr and Mrs when addressing the placecards.

Re: Placecards question

i was in the same boat for ours... so we just typed a seating chart in word instead of having all those little placecards...

i just typed it up in a nice font, printed it out on nice paper, trimmed them up a little and put them in nice 8 x 10 frames ( i had 120 people, so i only needed 2 frames, you might need more for more people...) it was just a simple chart with 2 columns- one for 'name' and one for 'table'... very easy to do in word.

so it saved me from having to worry about my handwriting, plus people had said how much easier it was to look at 2 big 'charts' instead of a bunch of little placecards... just an idea
