Places for E-party?

Where's a good place to have an engagement party? FH's parents are throwing us one in march and I don't know where to start looking. If you have any suggestions please let me know..Thanks!!!!

do you want like a dinner/lunch type or line dancing at a hall?

i'm not really sure, i wanted a dinner party kind of thing. nothing too formal, but a little more than casual. i don't know what my FMIL has planned though...probably something like at a firehouse, which i'm ok with too. i just wanted some ideas for anywhere really! lol i'm not going to be picky.

we are having ours at FHs parents house, with a fairly small guest list, maybe 30-50 people, over 3 hours, though I would look into teh KoC halls, some of the VFW halls, or some of the restaurants in the area

We're having ours Dec. 1 at the Rocky Point North Shore Beach Firehouse. I got it for free since I know someone who's a member, and it's really pretty! There's a nice dancefloor, huge kitchen, big open room! I checked out VFW halls and they're about $500 to rent. We're having about 70 people at ours too

We were going to do it there...Sweetwaters also has an outside patio...but depending on when you are planning your e-party that might not be helpful. Also the Brick House Brewery does them...they have an upstairs room which is really nice...

I had mine in the backyard at my mother's house....it wasn't super formal but it wasn't a shorts/jeans kind of party either. We had it catered by 3 different restaurants, we had a cake, and gave away a cheese board and knife set as our gift.

People loved it!
