Places to take pictures?

Places to take pictures?

Do any of you LI brides have suggestions of places to take formal photos? I know that Planting Fields is beautiful but I am concerned about distance. My ceremony will be in Flushing and my reception will be in Douglaston.

Anyone know of any beautiful outdoor locations close by that would be perfect for photos? My wedding will end hopefully by 2 PM and I would need to get to the reception by 4 PM

PS - I plan on checking with my photographer about this as well. Just wanted to get other people's insights.

old westbury gardens is beautiful, although there is a fee. i would check into that. also, it has an indoor location incase of rain. that's where we took our pictures and they came out beautiful.

I'm taking mine at the Vanderbilt Museum but they charge a fee also

What about the Queens Botanical Gardens in Flushing? I don't know if they charge a fee but I'm sure you could get some beautiful pictures

Isn't there a place in Long Island City that overlooks the water and has great views of the NYC skyline? I'm afraid I don't know what its called but friends of ours took their pictures there...
