Places to Take Pictures

Anybody taking pictures somewhere between church and reception besides their reception hall? I've heard that the bourne mansion rents out time/space to take some pics there. Any other places that you girls know of? Would love to do that!

After church we are going to Whitestone park to take our pictures.

That's where we actually got engaged & it's beautiful! The whitestone bridge is the background!

Re: Places to Take Pictures

There are some great places out towards Nassau County. Old Westbury Gardens or the Planting fields (i'm pretty sure is in Oyster Bay). I see you're getting married at St. Louis De Montfort, that is my church too! and I'm also a Giorgios bride. that is so funny :) I had my heart set on Old Westbury Gardens before we booked Giorgios. I looked at so many RH out in nassau but none of them gave me the wow factor like Giorgios. And it would just be too much driving between the church and CH to go out to nassau. So we decided we are going to take pictures at a vineyard out east. Hope this helps.

Where are you having your ceremony? Your reception is at Georgio's? Try to find somewhere located in between your ceremony/reception site!

That is too funny! I am sooo excited about Giorgio's! I was actually looking up some vineyards today- I think that's a great idea!!!

CatMac23..We were at Giorgios today and they are actually putting a small vineyard outside so you always have the option to use that for pictures too. I thought that was great.

Have either of you tried the food at Giorgio's? What do the prices look like for the summer 2011? From the website, it looks like the place itself is sooo beautiful and has many different places to take pics: beach, golf course, garden areas

That was one of the things I loved about Giorgio's too was all the photo ops. I would've booked there probably if it was in the budget.

The food is awesome! A week from Sunday is their Bridal Showcase and they'll have the entire cocktail hour set up- 20 bucks cash a person and you have to make reservations. Worth it if you're considering it to taste the food and get an idea! Why not!?
