Places to take wedding pictures
Hello, I am getting married in November and I was wondering if any one had any suggestions of places to take pictures both indoors and outdoors. I want to have a back up in case the weather is not nice. I have a gap between the church and the hall, so I need to go somewhere. My ceremony is in Western Nassau county and reception is in Suffolk, so any suggestions will be helpful. Thank you

Places to take wedding pictures
Maybe Westbury Gardens? I`m not 100% sure you can take pictures inside, but it is completely decorated, so I wouldn`t see why not. It is expensive though. If you haven`t decided what hotel you`re staying at, I know Garden City hotel is nice. You can only take pictures there is you`re a guest though. And again, that`s expensive too!

Same suggestions
You can take pictures at the Westbury Gardens. There are the Planting Fields also but pictures can only be taken outside. The Garden City hotel is a great idea. The Huntington Hilton also has some nice spots to take good pictures. You would have to work something out with them though since they also cater weddings. Good luck.

EAB Plaza
I have heard that you can take pictures at the EAB Plaza in Hempstead. Its about $100-150, and you might lose it if the weather is nice and you don't go there? not really sure...

EAB Plaza
Old Westbury Gardens has a glass enclosed patio that can be used during inclement weather. They also have a ballroom that is available if there are no concerts or tours planned at the time you are having your pictures taken (which I think would be available in November). The fee is from 275-400 for 1.5 hours of photography (rate depends on the time you are finishing your pictures). They will refund your money if you do not use them if it rains, you just have to give them an hour notice. They have a web site that comes up in a search for Westbury Gardens. I found they were very difficult to reach by phone (played tag for over a week) and we ended up just going there and asked at the gate, this allowed us to view the gardens without paying the admission fee and meet with the Jennifer who handles this. The Planting Fields does not allow you to take pictures inside and will not refund your donation of $100-150. But they might have a covered area around the mansion that may work, I haven't been there, I have only seen pictures that photographers showed us. The Garden City Hotel told us that you can only take pictures there if you have your reception there. My fiance is staying there the night before the wedding and we are planning to spend our wedding nite there as well. So I am going to basically beg them them when we make the reservations to let us take pictures there. They have a beautiful lobby and even the lounges by the elevators are nice for pictures. Hope this info helps.
