Plan to go dress shopping next week!!

Yea! for the first time! I am so nervous! But I wanted to know suggestions of great places to go, where you finally found the one, and where NOT to go.

i sound like a broken record - but i love the macy's bridal salon in manhasset!! the service is excellent and my dress came in two months early.

I am going to Valentina's in Brooklyn

They are AWESOME!! I love love love love them.

They treated me like a queen. The dress I am getting is actually a custom made dress from the owner and its under my budget. The woman I am dealing with is great. She shares in your excitement. I love them there

i went to bridal couture in manhasset - i found my dress there and my bridesmaids also. i just fell in love with the dress that i tried on and had to get it there - they have been really nice so far. and they do try to help you out as much as possible.

i had a really great experience at bridal reflections at massapequa. it is smaller than the carle place store, and i found that the service and attention was terrific.

i have also heard good things about paradise bridal in patchogue.

I would recommend going:
Wedding salon on manhasset
Bridal Reflections (both stores)
Priscilla of Boston
Macy's

I did not have a good experince at Bonaventures

I really liked Paradise Bridal, Centereach Bridal Suite, and Adriannaes (sp) in Islip. They were all very helpful!!

I highly recommend Bridal Suite in Centereach. I dealt with Debbie and she is excellent!!!

bridal suite of huntington is great
huge selection=princess bridals in farmingdale ( but i personally woudn't buy there!), and the commack wedding center
burton's has a smaller selection

Fantasia Bridal Center In Rocky Point. If you go there, ask for Stefanie- (shes the best... I cant rave about her enough)!!! Good selection in various sizes, very informative, and helpful. Im VERY picky and she was patient enough to deal with me and assist in finding 'MY' dress! Good luck!

Use Magazines to help you scout who has what and which styles you like.. that will save you tons of time.

I've been to Lillette's, David's, Lidia's and Macy's in Manhassett. So far Macy's in Manhassett has been my favorite. Have another appt there this Saturday!

Lillettes has a nice selection and theya re so nice...I first went there. If you have a particular designer you like, then go to their carrier shops too. I wound up getting my dress from Lidias couldn't beat the price on the dress or alterations.

I got mine at the Wedding Salon of Manhasset. My BF got hers there too and it was beautiful & she had no problems. They can get a bit expensive, but the dresses are beautiful & I LOVE my dress (it comes in September I think, yay!!) My aunt got her wedding dress at Lillettes & she was extremely happy with it.

thanks all! I've been narrowing down from all of you and my friends, co-workers and everyone else who has something to say. I have also made a list of places that carry what I want to see. I'm so nervous - is that crazy??

I don't think its crazy. I am getting married in 2 years, and I will have my dress custom made, but everytime I start looking for the style I may consider sowing, I get nervous and have to close the magazines!

Now that is crazy

Dino...I'm going dress shopping for the first time next week too. Maybe I'll see you out. I am going to Bridal Reflections in Mass, Wed Salon of Manhasset, Bridal Couture(not to buy but to look), Princess Bridal, Bridal Garden, Lillettes and moonlight couture. Good luck...I hope you find your dream dress.
