Planning a shower

Planning a shower

So I booked the Olive Garden in Westbury yesterday for my Sister's Aug 10th Bridal Shower. Her wedding date is Oct 5 '03. It will begin at 11:30 and go till 3 PM. We were told that we can arrive at 11 to decorate and get there a little early if it will be surpirse. I plan on having a wishing well for her. One of the BM's is bringing all the balloons and decorations. My Mom is purchasing the Cake and my cousin is making her a 'Barbie Bridal Cake'. Now I am trying to think of games to play and I will give away small gifts to the winners. So far I can only think of two games - Bridal Bingo and the Safety Pin game. Just a question though about the safety pin game... is it the word 'bride, wedding, or her name' that guest can not say or loose a pin... I am not sure, any help? What other games are there that we could play? I need some help Also, am I missing anything...? If anyone has suggestions of what I can add to this shower, please share. Thank you !

Re: Planning a shower

My BM called my FH ahead of time and asked him 10 questions, then gave every guest a #, then asked me some of them while I opened gifts and if I got it right (which I always did ), I picked a # and that person won a prize!

Re: Planning a shower

For a friend's shower, we told everyone they couldn't use the groom's name....you'd be surprised how many people mention the groom's name during a shower!

We played the toliet paper bridal gown game.....broke people up in teams and gave each team a roll of toilet paper to create a beautiful wedding gown. They had to pick one model and wrap her in toilet paper until they had a masterpeice! Then the whole group together decided the most creative one. It was great fun, and even better because there were many people who didn't know each other there, and they got to know each other better working together.
