I was so excited about getting my dress and booking my reception hall in like a week and then my future hubby got a letter today from the marine corps stating that he is being considered for re-call to active duty and he has to report to their mobilization station for a screening. If they feel he is eligible, he will have 12-15 months of active duty to complete This super *****.

Thanks guys....hey, why did they block out s***s haha thats not a cuss word! Haha. Yea I am proud of him and I know he isn't super excited to go back if he has to but neither of us can change that so we'll just have to deal and get through it. I'll keep my chin up for now til' I hear the news after the screening

Re: Planning and stress
I'll keep my fingers crossed that he doesnt have to go. But if you want to find the slightest glimpse of a bright side to this...at least he would be back in time for the wedding. Might be better that he go now...rather than be called back right before the wedding. I know that doesnt make it any easier. I dated someone in the Marines a while back and I know the deployments are never easy. I'm so sorry for you and hope it all works out!

Thanks guys!!! You all really made me feel better!! I'm proud of him, he's such a great guy and it is better that this happen now than like right before the wedding! I would be devastated if he had to leave right before that! Thanks again guys!!

Re: Planning and stress
Oh boy. You know I never thought of stuff like that messing up your day until a month or so ago. My FH & I went to Terrace on the Park and the BM was telling us how they had a huge wedding going on but it was called off that morning cause the groom had to be deployed to Iraq. I can't imagine that happening to me. I'm so glad FH doesn't have any part in the military, I'd make him quit if he did. He was thinking about joining at one point but I told him I would leave him if he did
