planning another wedding!!!

My best friend from growing up is getting married in October of 2009. She asked me to coordinate everything as she just wants to have the party, not plan it. And I know her taste very well. So Im very excited!!! But I'll be planning a Maine wedding from NY. But I did this for my sister and it wasn't too bad. And she will be there to go to final appointments and stuff.

BUT- its very hard! All the menus are priced based on the entree and hor'dourves are priced per piece or per 50 pieces! And nothing includes open bar- its like priced per hour or per person per hour. NY weddings are beyond easier! LOL we all have it good!

And her budget is $10,000! Most site fees alone are $5000-$10,000 in Maine! Her parents want to help pay, but her FH wont let them. So this is going to be a huge challenge, but Im up for it!!

Forgot to add that her list is 225 people! With a budget of 10K! LOL! Her parents might have to slip me money and not tell them.

Well we are looking in Southern Maine/ New hampshire only. We would LOVE to do it in a barn. She def wants inside, but with an outdoor area for pictures and maybe for cocktail hour if she does one. Actually I dont think they do cocktail hours in maine like they do here. But we might try to do one...

If you know of places- pass them along!!!

OMG I just found a nice place, but it is $220 a head- Not with drinks!!!!!!!! Its another $30 an hour per person for drinks or you can be billed on consumption! Thats insane!

Huh! That is intresting! I would love to see how it works in other places

That's too bad!! I actually had a fantastic barn that I was looking at here in Long Island!! (i love the look and there is so much you can do with it) Unfortunately, I only know places in NYC/Long Island area.I wish I could help more..
