Planning Honeymoon?

When are you all doing this?
And where are you going?

Re: Planning Honeymoon?

we have no idea yet. We are not really sun people so that narrows down the options.

Re: Planning Honeymoon?

You can book up to 11 months from the date of your return, so that for me is Tuesday...but they say taht the best fares are six months before your dte of departure because you get the package rate.

You're welcome!!!

I was thinking the same thing. I wasn't sure when we should start looking. We really want to go to Hawaii. It depends on the $$$. If not possibly Aruba.

We're going to Greece (Crete, Santorini and Athens). Floral Terrace is giving us the hotel for free in Crete, so we just need to book hotels in Athens and Santorini. Not sure when we're going to book it though

Re: Planning Honeymoon?

We have absolutely no clue!!!! We def. do not want to go to Hawaii or Tahiti or the Caribbean. We are thinking of Europe or some other exotic islands like Maldives or Seychelles.

Re: Planning Honeymoon?

Not that theres anything wrong with it but WHY does everyone choose to go to Aruba????????? Ive been there and there are much better islands in the Carribean.

I dont want to start a whole big controversy but Im just curious.

Re: Planning Honeymoon?

We are going to Aruba and are going to book our honeymoon in November. We can catch the fares before they go up for 2004 and we can get first choice on plane seats.

Re: Planning Honeymoon?

Aruba doesnt have hurricane seasons.

Most of the carribean has huge hurricane seasons and with my honeymoon going to be in September I dont want to risk a hurricane.

That is my reason too Mel.

Re: Planning Honeymoon?

OK don't flame me for saying this - but I have no idea where to go b/c I have already been to most honeymoon places and b/c of Rob's possible school schedule we might have to split up our honeymoon so that means we might not want to fly to tahiti - since we won't have 2 full weeks (again this depends on whether he transfers or not )

So I am at a total loss

Beautiful weather, beaches, and colorful drinks with no worries of arriving on Sept 20 and Hurricane miguel arriving sept 21.

Re: Planning Honeymoon?

what about a cruise???

I have never been on one (we are thinking/planning of going in January with our WW leader who we have become very good friends with, and 2 other couples. It is going from Puerto Rico, St. Thomas and St. Croix)

You can always do a 7 day cruise that covers a few islands and the ship always has something to do

Oh that makes sense.

Re: Planning Honeymoon?

Chippa we will probably end up with a cruise and maybe 5 days at disney -since we have to split it up.

Cruise was a great idea (burmuda is one of the few islands I haven't been to - but the ships are older so not sure)- it is just that I was looking for something special that I have already NOT done. Rob is easy since he hasn't traveled much he is happy going anywhere - but he was insisting for a while on a spot I had not been to.

Re: Planning Honeymoon?

no matter where you go it will be special.

there is always a cruise around the panama, an alaskan cruise, maybe one of those disney cruises (but I think they are really family oriented)

no matter where you go it will be special
