planning your own FH bachelor party...

planning your own FH bachelor party...

Okay, this is weird.

I am fine with bachelor parties. Really, I am. But planning his?

Of course, the BM couldn't pull it off, as I knew he wouldn't. Now, FH is all depressed and saying 'forget the whole thing.'

Should i take the reins and try to plan, in ONE week, what i know he wants?

Or should i just say forget about it and rest secure in the knowledge that he will have a bad time and not get any stipper 'action'?

I am SO conflicted!!

Well, what does he want for the party? There is no way I would plan any stripper action for my FH, esp. given some of the posts on here about stuff that happened during the bachelor party with strippers.

Isn't that how violetfairy's trouble started?

That's exactly what I was thinking...

I can only speak for myself, but I think I would plan it. I wouldn't necessarily be comfortable with the idea, but I wouldn't want my FH to go without or be disappointed. The plus side of you planning is that he will know that you know exactly what' he's up to and he'll appreciate it and you so much that he'll be on his best behavior. I say go for it. You can make reservations at a steak house or something for dinner, and then rather than plan for a private stripper, why don't you set something up at a strip club, like a VIP section for a few hours.

I wouldn't plan it but I would kind of help the GM's plan it or get them going. Some guys just aren't the planning type and need help or some just wait til the last minute and then pull it off nicely. I know a bachelor party was impt to Dh - he just wanted a fun weekend with the guys...his guys did fine but if they didn't I would have surely stepped in or DH would have done it himself. I know in my circle of friends it is not uncommon for the birde/groom to be actively involved in planning the bachelor/ette party.
