Planning your table decor

Planning your table decor

Hey everyone!

So I am a semi-DIY bride (no planner, minimal flowers) and was wondering how you all are deciding what goes on your cocktail tables/reception tables/etc. I feel like I can't get organized on this end and it's caused a lot of stress. Any tips or advice? I realize it's kind of a general question but any tips on how you figured this all out would be helpful.

And my profile is wrong (idk why) but wedding is in 24 days and counting! EEEEEK!

I just had my wedding this week and I had them use the pew arrangements from the church during cocktail hour combined with the general decor that the hall had for us. I didn't give cocktail hour that much thought because it goes by so fast.

For cocktail hour were just using whatever the hall provides. Reception will be our centerpiece, with rose petals and votives in the table.

Our hall provided decor for cocktail hour along with our photo frame we had our guest sign rather than a guest book so we could hang it up in our home. As far as the reception tables, I have pics in my album of our centerpieces as well as our table numbers which are also in our album

We are doing lanterns as centerpieces with a small vase of hydrangeas and babies breath

as of right now, not doing anything for the CH tables. I spoke to other brides who used my venue, and I'm not the only one opting out of the extra decor. The centerpieces my MOH and I DIYed. We are not using any floral, going with candles. We took a cylinder vase used for floating candles and attached it to a crystal candle holder to give it height adding blues stones and ivory floating candle. It will be surrounded by a tall/medium tealight holder (tables are alternating that height) and a hurricane which we added thin gold ribbon accent to with an ivory votive.

We have no additional decor for CH. for the ceremony we only did flowers for the arch. The reception we are giving the florist wine bottles for small floral centerpieces. And we also did one additional arrangement for our 'in memory of' table
