HEY T - I thought that it was a lunchtime procedure =- meaning that you could be in and out in an hour?!!!

I used to work for a Dr that did collagen. It lasts about 4-6 months but you are right...it depends how fast your body breaks it down. Many people get it done w/o any pain meds..it depends what your tolerance level is. The lips are a very sensitive area. There are creams that he used which are topical numbing creams. Find out about these..some say they work and some say they don't. The best one I've heard of is Betacaine. It is only red and swollen for a short time. It costs between $400 and $550 a vial (usually). There are different kinds...collagen...zyderm...zyplast. Some are thicker..it depends on what is best for you (the Dr should know).

PS...Botox is mainly for the lines in your forehead and crows feet..I haven't heard of it for lips..it paralyzes the muscle so I can't see how that would plump up the lips.

My gf had silicon injected into her upper lip and it really looks natural on her.. she had like really bad laugh lines and it looks really good.. I think everything is ok if done in moderation..

How come you're asking for recommendations on plastic surgeons? If you're scheduled for next week, I hope you're you confident in your doctor!!

I'd like the lip injection as well (along with a lot of other procedures)! I'm just afraid I'll look silly afterwards. I told FH that when he makes it big with the new company, I've got a long list of procedures I want done.

Jenny I have an apt to get tested with my friends dr to see if I can take the collagan.. You can react to it..

Then I wanted to know if anyone did it and how it went and I would like a rec'........

I have nice size lips now. I am looking for BIGG ones..
