Would any of you actually spend all that money on a wedding??
Yes I would want a little more money to have some extra things I want, but NEVER hundreds of thousands of dollars. I would rather a big house!!!

I like to think that I could, but I know that practically, I would hate myself for spending that much money. Even if I had an unlimited budget, there are other things that the money should go to.
I am having a hard time justifying $17-20,000 on teh wedding as it is

never, i could never imagine spending that amount of money-even if either of our families had it to give. I would rather use that kind of money for something else. Its just craziness

It is NUTS but, on the flip side, why cheap out on the wedding if no doubt they've got a a few million sitting in the bank anyway ?!

God bless them that they're able to afford it! I do think it's a bit excessive but I would definitely go to one if I were invited! If I did have that much money, I don't think I would spend that much. I'm realizing just with my own wedding how beautiful an event can be on a budget. So 'booooooo' to the platinum weddings! lol

It's all relative, I suppose. In my current lifestyle it seems excessive and crazy but if I was sitting on gobs of millions what's a couple hundred thousand for a wedding, you know?
