So, I am not sure what to do. I ordered my FG dress for my cousin, a dress she chose, and spent ~$150. She told me she 'was good for it.' I gave her the dress a month ago, and she never mentioned anything about paying me back.
I hate, hate asking people for money. But, my FH and family told me I should just mention it to her in an e-mail since she really just might have forgotten. I wrote her one, and she wrote me back, making no mention what so ever about paying me back.
Now, do I just let this go? I mean, how many times can you ask someone for $? Once the wedding is over, I can't really ask for the money.
Did most of you pay for your FG's dress? It just feels like I am spending SO much money now that things are coming so close. What to do?

Re: please advise
wow, that's a really tough situation
on the one hand, i want to say just let it go and don't bother asking again, but on the other hand i want to say that $150 isn't TOO terrible for a FG dress and the FG's parents should pay for it
My FGs' families are paying for their own dreses, so I'm not much help, but

I think that the FG's parents should definitely be paying for the dress, but it's REALLY awkward to ask for money.
My Bridesmaids each needed to purchase another piece of the dress that didn't come with it. Instead of having them each do it individually, I asked instead that they just give ME the $20 each and I'll put in one order for it. Basically that just saves on shipping, plus we all get it at the same time (and then i can make sure nobody orders the wrong thing). Sooo - I told them a few months ago when I wanted to order it by. They all got it to me, except one bridesmaid. I'm gonna order it this week and just put up the money for her, but even though $20 is not that much, it just feels wrong for me to pay for HERS and not anybody elses. I have mentioned it couple times and she keeps saying she'll give it to me 'This Sunday', but she never does. I texted her yesterday and never heard back, so i think i'm just gonna let it go. When the piece of the dress comes in, maybe she'll realize she hasn't given me money yet, but i really don't wanna keep asking. It just feels rude.
So in your situation I'd probably be the same way. Maybe mention it one last time and then that's it. Just let it go. It's toooo weird asking for money

Re: please advise
maybe she might include it with her wedding gift to you?
Maybe writing another email and asking if shes going to pay you back... make it really clear so she can give you an answer.

Oh man. That's tough - to me $150 is a lot for a FG dress. My FG dress was $45...
I normally would say 'eat it' but $150 is a lot.
Maybe try saying in an email:
I just wanted to let you know that with tax and shipping the dress came to $150.02... I'm not sure if I ever told you the final price.
