Please allow me to share the first 45 mins of my day today - BEFORE I got to work!

So, I left my house at 7:45 b/c I knew I needed to stop at Chase and take out money - I literally had change in my wallet! I go to the Chase on 25 in Selden and drive up to the ATM. The words scrolling across the screen say, 'ATM currently unable to dispense cash.' I back up, pull into the other ATM and that says the same thing! WHY CAN'T CHASE FILL THEIR ATMS BEOFRE THEY LEAVE AT NIGHT LIKE THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO?!?!?!?!

So, I say, okay, well I need something at CVS, let me go there and use my debit card to get cash back. I buy what I need, and the stupid machine at the register takes my card as a CREDIT instead. I ask the guy why it did that b/c I wanted cash back. He says, 'Well, why don't you buy a pack of gum or something small and we'll try again.' IT DID IT AGAIN!!! So now, here I am with a pack of gum I don't want, and STILL NO MONEY!

At this point, it's 8:15. I am normally at work already even though I don't have to be til 8:30. I then drive to Portion Road and go to the Chase there, where I was able to get money. I stopped at the bagel store to get my bagel & coffee (an absolute MUST) and made it to work by 8:35.

I wasted my time, my gas, and for what?! I was SO angry! I used to work for a bank - we filled the ATM every night! GRRR!!!

Luckily, my day has been slowing improving so that is good. I just needed to vent Thank you for your time and attention to this matter

I hate when that happens!!!


Its almost the weekend!!!

yuck! What a crappy morning!! You know what bank I seem to have issues with?? Freakin' Astoria. I can't stand them. They don't have normal drive-thru ATMs. Like, you need to pull up to the window and talk to a PERSON. That's stupid, because then I have to actually wait until they're open (or stop being lazy, and actually park my car and go into the bank for the other ATM). How dumb. And then they cancel your card if you don't use it for a few weeks and you've gotta PAY to have it started up again (they've done this to me while i was away on vacation and didn't have use for it) They also closed down my online banking account for no apparent reason. The people i talked to at the bank had noooo idea why that was done. Stupid. I finally closed that account yesterday. Bank of America is my fav. Sometimes their ATM doesn't work also, but I guess that's all banks

Anyway - i'm glad your day is getting better. Chew that gum and be happy you're finished running around like a maniac

I'll second that. I have to say I've had very good luck with Bank of America. Didn't love Chase.
