I am probably on an impossible mission, knowing myself. I want to print my own envelopes. I don't want a calligrapher. I have odd sized envelopes (6X6) and when I tried to get a custom size in Word, it would't accept it. Did/does anyone know how to do this with such a complicated size? I'd be using WORD and I do have MS Office. Also, are clear labels out of the question? PLEASE HELP.....time is running out!!! I need to get them in the mail soon.

I had the same problem, and everytime I put an envelope into my printer it came out bent. I did the clear labels, I figured they just get thrown away anyway.

Re: Please before I hurt someone............
When I did it on my mother's computer....I changed the document size to the size of my envelopes. Then I used a text box so I could center the address where I wanted it.
Then printing, it depends on your printer.

for some reason word wont allow that size, i have the same size envelopes. open a blank document. do file, page set up, paper, change the paper size to 6.5x6.5 (this should be your envelope size, not 6x6) then click on the margins tab. i normally change my margins to .2 (top & bottom) if you dont do this your address wont print in the right place. then you can print the envelopes.
if you dont want them to print one at a time, you can keep pressing enter until u get to the next page, enter in all your address on their own page, then print all the envelopes at the same time.
hth!

And what about the inner envelopes? Do I do the same exact thing? Same margin size too?

SPINOFF TO YOUR QUESTION: is handwriting them acceptable (not calligraphy) if you have really neat handwriting?

I printed the clear labels but I used the large packing labels so they weren't the small regular mailing labels. The larger ones mean you can do the fancy script

nothing wrong with that, as long as it is really nead & legible. some girls on here have done it.

try with a regular pen and see how u like it, or try with a calligraphy pen from a craft store. i think printing them yourself is easier. once u get the 1st one it will be a breeze.

Re: Please before I hurt someone............
I had the same problem and my envelopes are big as well. I just centered the address in word document and hit enter 6 times. I sized and chose the font and the I just fed the envelope through the printer. Use one 'extra' envelope and see if it works...i Had to turn mine around a few times until I got the set up correct with the envelope but then it worked. A bit time consuming for I had to do it one by one. But try it out if nothing else works. I used clear labels for the return address on the back flap.

Re: Please before I hurt someone............
Honestly, I'm sending mine to InkSpun.com
For 0.39 an envelope it's worth it to not have to do it myself.
Just a suggestion!

Re: Please before I hurt someone............
I used clear labels on mine.. My envelopes are 8X8 so I couldn't use Word at all... Plus, I paid sooo much money for my invites that I didn't want to waist some trying to line things up... I bought clear mailing labels at Staples, the Avery ones and I did it from avery.com... Simple, easy and they looked great!
