I know I’m ahead of the game here…but FH and I originally under-budgeted for our tips by A LOTTT. I need to update our budget information with the correct amount we are tipping our vendors. Please look over my tips and let me know if everything looks okay or if anything needs to be changed. Also, please let me know if I’m missing anyone! Thank you!!!!!
- Maitre D: $3-$5pp - Bridal Attendant: $75 - Photographer: $100 - Assistant Photographer: $50 - Videographer: $100 - Band: $25 per musician - Hair/Make-up: 20% - Flower Delivery: $25 - Limos: $50 per driver (in addition to 20% gratuity that is already included in contract) - Coach Bus: $50 - Pick up at end of reception, drop off at hotel: Service was thrown in, we just need to tip the driver $50 - Pick up at hotel morning after wedding, drop off at airport: Service was thrown in, we just need to tip the driver $50 - Altar Servers: $20 each

I am giving the bridal attendant 120. But other than that everything looks good. Also include your day of hair and makeup person tips.

We initially did $100 for the Bridal Attendant... we ended up giving her an additional $50 at the end of the night.
Your tips look good though- my advice would be to set aside some extra cash for the vendors at the end of the night. We ended up tipping the band extra too. (initally the same $25 a person that you have)

absolutely...it's a bit ridiculous, but he/she does run the whole show.
i'd budget more for your bridal attendant and just take away from it if they stink. i think 20 an altar server is way overgenerous imo. we're planning to tip maybe half that. and i think the limos drivers are very high if it's already included. i'd probably give 25.

I know that when I was an altar server the best man always came back with the tips afterwards and fh was a best man and he was the one who tipped the altar servers

hi Alicia! I think we overtipped a bit but my DOC had sent me a list of guidelines for tipping and they were all a bit more than you listed...of course you have to do what is in your budget...and some of the things she suggested I thought were a bit much but here goes what we tipped
Maitre D and staff $4 pp (they deserved more b/c the staff was phenomenal but this was a lot considering we had 240 people!!) Bridal Attendant (was amazing- did a looot more than my DOC)- $150 (suggestion was 100-175) Photographer -$150 Photographer assistant $75 Videographer $150 DJ/MC $100 each FLower delivery $40 Makeup/Hair 20% Limos- $100/driver (this was b/c we basically got the limos for free through a fam connection)
again- i think we tipped on the higher end but that was what we were suggested by our DOC

We were told at our semi-final meeting that the maitre'd tip is 5-7 dollars a person!!! I know here I see a lot of the 3-5 dollar range.

yeah I have heard it's always about $3-5. We ended up tipping $4 pp...we would have done more but we had so many guests we couldn't. I think 4-5 is way more realistic than 5-7 . however our BM did tell us that a portion goes to the wait staff who were really amazing!

If your bridal attendant is good you might want to give her more than 75. Mine was great and I gave her 100.

My BM told me the recommended tips for the bridal attenadant and maitr'd were insane.
BA: She said between $150-300 Maitr'd: $6-8pp

I think a lot depend on what you have to pay for maitre d wise. I'm assuming everyone is charged 18-20% service charge but on my contract it suggests $3-4/pp to maitre'd so it fluctuates. If everything goes well I don't see why you can't tip how you feel but I'd say $3 on the low end and probably $5-6 if everything went perfect (which it should).
