Hi ladies. For those of you who still have your dresses or haven't yet married, please consider donating your dress once the wedding is over (if you're not planning on keeping/preserving it).
If you do a Google search for Donating dresses, there are lots of sights and choices out there. I'm planning on sending mine to the Brides Against Breast Cancer organization. You can make a difference in many peoples lives by this choice. Just thought I'd attach some links for any of you interested.
This is wonderful Laura, I hope some others do what you are doing.

Re: PLEASE Don't Trash the Dress
that's awesome of you- I don't think I'd be able to bear trashing my dress OR giving it away- but I admire your decision!

Re: PLEASE Don't Trash the Dress
This is a wonderful idea! I did something similar several years ago for a Prom Dress Drive and it felt so good to know that the girls who couldn't afford to buy a dress for prom would still be able to go and look beautiful! I'm totally going to do this!

Re: PLEASE Don't Trash the Dress
Does it count as a donation? If its tax deductible then I'm IN. Thanks, I'll do some research.

Re: PLEASE Don't Trash the Dress
Mine is already a once-worn dress (I bought it on Craig's List) but I'd be happy to donate it if anyone would want a twice-worn dress... I just love it!

Re: PLEASE Don't Trash the Dress
Forgot to mention, FYI, I know Brides Against Breast cancer is tax-deductible....so you benefit in more ways than one!
