Same here. I am getting married on a Friday so we might do it a full week ahead.... We have alot of out of towners in the wedding party so its tought to find any type of arrangement that will work. In regards to your question I believe you do a run through of the ceremony and then have a dinner where you can present your bridal party with your gifts and have a few quick informal speeches with those closest to you: parents, siblings and bridal party. The RD is typically hosted by the groom's parents.
oh I get it. So I guess it will very small. I doubt RD is going to be paid by Grooms mom, she is on government money and his father passed away when he was 11. Where would have this gathering. Would a nice diner would be insalting or where do you go for that if it's going to be small?
You can go to a nice restaurant if it is small someplace like Grand Lux Cafe may be nice to go to.
