Please explain invitation inserts to me!

What does this consist of? How many?

Directions to the church
Directions to the reception
Hotel cards

What about the directions from the church to the reception??

How does this work!!?!?

I only knew of the direction cards from the church to the reception

um i'm doing directions to the reception, and i still have to find out if the church has them

if not i think i'm going to leave them out...i have the address on the invite, plus i'll have all that info on our wedding website

I had directions cards:

To the Church
To the Reception
From the Church to the Sheraton (hall)
and a note telling the guests what to book the hotel rooms under.

It was a lot of inserts but well worth it

I bought tri-fold cards and printed the directions on them so there would not be too many inserts in the envelopes. We had:

directions to the Church
directions to the reception (including from Church)
directions to the hotel (including from Church and reception) plus the number and info to call and book at room.

I included

Directions to the Church
Directions to the Reception

.... and that's it!

I received an invitation the other day with NO DIRECTIONS to anything.... and the invite before that only had church directions and reception directions too.

I didn't put the hotel cards in there because I sent them out with the STDs and if they didn't book their rooms by now, they are probably a s s ed out anyway

So we DO have to include all of this???? It seems like everyone is doing something different. I am not sending out STDs so I have to put the hotel card in there too!

So I am going to have

directions to the church
directions to the reception
hotel cards

And I am going to see if I could stick the directions from the church to the reception somewhere instead of on another card. Oh Lord - this stinks!!!!

HB --- Sounds like your invitations are going to come with a map of NY state too

I had directions to the church and the reception. I printed them on double sided cards .. church on one side - reception on the other.

So technically there was only one insert.

I wish I had thought of tri-fold cards though!
