MY dad sold my car, for $3,000 when he was originally selling it for $3,500...FIRM
ANyways, this WITCH talked him down, and he agreed to it...sold it AS IS...
The car was in my moms name, so she really is the one who sold it, as she is the one who signed over the title
Well, the day she bought it, she went to get tires on it, and have an inspection done on it,. etc...she calls my dad, says it will not pass inspection, etc...she wants HIM to pay for the part...he is blown away and tells her no way, it was sold to her AS IS...she says you will hear from my lawyer...
Well, 2 days later, my dad is served at where he works, with his company's name (He owns the business) from this lady....he has to go to court, or pay something like 1400 if he does not show....so he shows, they try to make him negotiate, he says ABSOLUTELY NOT and so a trial date is given...He then getsa call from the courts, saying it has been withdrawn...
TODAY he gets served papers AGAIN...this time for the whole 3000 she paid for it, it says the car is 'Worthless', etc....SO, now he has to go AGAIN....
Meanwhile, she has the wrong person named,it should be my moms name, as she was the one who sold it really...and this lady is out of her tree...
Has anyone used CARFAX before? WHat does it tell you? I know I can use it free through AAA, but I want to see if it gives info about anything she could have possibly done to sabotage it, etc...
My car was inspected in AUgust 2002, and taken off the road in September 200...and was for sale from January 2003 until l she bought it (giving my dad the runaround for 2 months before even purchasing it) in January 2004. ITs a great car, very well taken care of, and mechanically EXCELLENT...we keep up with our cars!
Anyways, any ideas what to do from here? Of course, my dad is contacting his lawyer who says its a bogus lawsuit to begin with because its not my dad who even sold it to her...I am just SO AGGRAVATED and would LOVE to rip off the head of this BIOTCH....
