Please help!!

We live in Queens and are looking to buy a house on LI. Since we don't know the towns we don't know where to look. We want to be close to Queens and city. I like areas around Garden City (which we can't afford). Which town should we look into? that are nice, safe and convenient?? Please help!!

Lynbrook
Rockville Center
Oceanside

All 3 are close to the city and pretty safe.

I lived in Lynbrook for 32 years and I never felt unsafe there.

Have you looked at New Hyde Park? That is right on the border of nassau and queens.

Also Little Neck comes to mind.
