Please help...

I am trying to book a mini-vacation for FH's bday as a surprise
trying to keep the costs low
i did get really good prices on a 5 day cruise to Cozumel or Bahamas but we would have to fly somewhere first and airfare is ridiculous right now

any ideas?

Re: Please help...

I believe there are cruises leaving NY and from NJ. Try Royal Caribbean.

What about a little bed and breakfast? Take a road trip and check out the local scenery from a cute little Inn.

I went to an awesome one in Boston...it was about 4-5hr drive, but amazing! And a T-ride away from the city, which was beautiful to walk around in, have lunch in, we had the best time! FM me for details!

Norweigan and Carnaval leave from NY. Also there are a lot of Caribbean cruises that leave from Florida. With summer fare sales you can get something like $140 roundtrip. This time of year last year we went on a cruise to Belize from Tampa and it was only like $900 including airfare!

Good luck!

Cruise out of NY or even drive someplace around here--DC and maybe even Niagara or Canada or Maine is gorgeous at this time. You can also go down to North Carolina--Outer Banks.

I agree with just driving some place romantic....check out this site: Escape Maker

They have listings of a bunch of different b&b's as well as cute locales to check out within driving distance of NY
