I am due to take the bar exam in 4 days and I am freaking out thinking I might be having an appendicitis. For the past week I've been having pain on and off near my hip bone - it is not coming from my hip so it isn't bone or muscle pain. It comes and goes and this morning it's a little more annoying then usual.
I have no idea what is making me think it is an appendicitis - I guess I know it's in that region. Has anyone every had one? What is the pain like? Any other ideas? I should probably head to the doctor, but it just feels like I have NO TIME as it is for studying.
Help!

I think the pain from appendicits is searing and you wouldn' tbe able to function with it... it's more than just annoying. Also, I think you would be puking your guts out too.
Do you think it could just be from all the stress of the bar exam plus wedding planning? Honestly, I'd pack up some of my books and head to the Dr's just to be sure... study in the waiting room and while your waiting to be examined.

I think it could DEFINITELY be stress...I guess my fear is - what if it isn't stress? I just e-mailed my girlfriend who had her appendix out and she said the pain onset mildly but within 8 hours she was unable to walk and had to be carried into the ER and shortly after that she was in emergency surgery. So I think you are right. I just need to calm my a$$ DOWN.

Ok - it could be a ruptured cyst. I have had them and thought it was appendicitis but was wrong. My pain only lasted a day but I know some people who have been in pain for a week. Either way you should see a doctor asap to get it checked out. OBGYN can usually tell if it was a ruptured cyst because they would do a sonogram and can usually see liquid around your ovaries. Or just go to your regular doctor. HTH and feel better!

I have had appendicitis and it is excrutating pain.. You can not move. I think that it is stress and you need to just get through the next few days and then see if it improves
