Please Help---Blocked some rooms at Hampton Inn...

FOr Sunday, October 17th...I only blocked 10, but I KNOW those will be taken, I need about 15 or so total...my contract came in today and said 10....can I cross it out and initial it for 15? Or, do I need to call the person at Hamptoin Inn and run it by her first?

i would call... i can't imagine them saying no to blocking 15...

I would call them because do you have to leave money down as a deposit

Hey holly,
I also blocked rooms, and Jennifer (block woman) told me that they will block the 10 rooms, and when they fill up they can add more.. But I would definately call her she is a sweet heart, she'll help ya out.. Just so YOU know that they know that you want 15 rooms.. You never know they may not even look at that on the contract.

If your 10 fill up they will add more in blocks of 5 i believe,
I have 19 so far and will probably end up reserving about 25 or 30.

They won't start you with more than 10.

I was told the same thing. I knew I needed about 20 rooms, she said they can't do that, they will wait until the first 10 fill and add the 5 more at a time. It makes sense from their point of view though..

Same deal with me. They started me with 10, when I know that I could need up to about 50 (lots of OOT guests).

My advice is to keep in close contact with her. They have no problem adding the rooms, but may not necessarily do so automatically (sometimes they did for me, sometimes they didn't). Just keep in toucn and every so often call to make sure that rooms have been added to the block.

Jennifer has been very helpful. Make sure that you talk to her specifically.

she also wrote that on mine contract and now I'am up to 20 rooms booked and still more people are calling and making reservations!!
